Samsung deploys ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex globally 3 years after AI curbs
Reversing its ban on employees using ChatGPT, Samsung has deployed ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI’s coding assistant Codex yesterday across its global Device Experience (DX) division, which includes businesses such as smartphones, consumer electronics, and home appliances. This makes it one of OpenAI’s largest enterprise deployments to date.
The decision reflects a major shift in Samsung’s approach to generative AI. In 2023, the company restricted employees’ access to ChatGPT after reports surfaced that staff had uploaded confidential information to the chatbot.
