Oracle sheds 21,000 jobs as it continues AI-focused streamlining

Oracle’s head count shrank by roughly 13% in its previous fiscal year, as the tech company continued to invest in artificial intelligence.

As of end-May, Oracle’s head count stood at approximately 141,000 full-time employees, compared with 162,000 at the end of the fiscal year ended May 31, 2025, according to its annual report.
