Bharti Airtel raises Airtel Africa stake to 79% via Rs 28,200-crore share swap
Bharti Airtel has completed its acquisition of an additional 16.3% stake in Airtel Africa, taking its effective holding in the London-listed subsidiary to approximately 79%, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

The deal was executed as a share swap with Indian Continent Investment (ICIL), a promoter group entity. Bharti Airtel acquired 595,204,251 shares of Airtel Africa, around 16.3% of the African unit, from ICIL on June 22.
