Towercos to dial in 5-6% tenancy growth in FY27, FY28 on network expansion: Report
NEW DELHI: Telecom tower companies (towercos) are expected to see a 5-6% growth in tenancies in fiscal year 2027 (FY27) and FY28, driven by continued capital expenditure (capex) by telecom companies, according to Crisil Ratings.
“Revival in capex by select telcos, particularly in overlapping circles, will translate to incremental tenancies at existing tower sites, leading to improvement in the tenancy ratio1 in this fiscal and the next, after years of moderation,” the credit ratings agency said in a report on Wednesday, based on analysis of three tower companies that account for nearly 90% share in the industry.
