Bharti Airtel appoints Rahul Vatts as corporate affairs head, group chief regulatory officer

NEW DELHI: India’s Bharti Airtel has elevated Rahul Vatts as the director of corporate affairs and group chief regulatory officer.

“In this expanded role, Rahul will lead the corporate affairs team and drive stakeholder engagement across industry and government, shaping the company’s public policy position and regulatory strategy,” Airtel said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that Vatts will be the primary government and regulator interface for the telecom company.

“This move is in line with the company’s commitment to strengthen its corporate affairs capability as the brand extends beyond telecom,” it added.
