Jio Platforms enters global top 20 list in WIPO’s patent rankings
NEW DELHI: Jio Platforms (JPL), the telecom arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), climbed 320 places to break into the global top 20 in the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) rankings released by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) for the year 2025.
This makes JPL one of the fastest-rising innovators globally, placing it among global technology giants, including Huawei, Samsung, Qualcomm, LG, Panasonic, Nokia, Google, Apple and Microsoft, the telecom company said in a statement.
