Silicon Labs investing deeply in India, bullish on smart meter roll-outs: CTO Daniel Cooley

NEW DELHI: The US-headquartered semiconductor designer Silicon Labs said it is making deep investments in India and is seeing positive business momentum from smart metering roll-outs along with consumer applications.

“For India, there are two main thrusts for the company. The first is we have a large R&D and IT center in Hyderabad. On the other side, we see India as a very big growth market for the Internet of Things (IoT) for smart infrastructure, smart metering and consumer applications,” Daniel Cooley, chief technology officer (CTO), Silicon Labs, told ETElectronicsWorld in an interview.
