Public Wi-Fi Network

To accelerate the growth of public Wi-Fi infrastructure across the country, Trai has released a consultation paper titled “Proliferation of Public Wi-Fi Networks in India”. The paper undertakes a comprehensive review of the existing regulatory framework, examines global benchmarks and best practices, identifies key bottlenecks affecting public Wi-Fi expansion, and seeks stakeholder views on building a scalable and sustainable ecosystem for public Wi-Fi across diverse geographies and user segments in India.
