Intel bets big on AI infrastructure with new Xeon chips
Intel on Monday announced a new range of data centre products, including next-generation Xeon processors, high-speed Ethernet networking solutions and updates to its artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator roadmap, as the chipmaker bets on growing demand for AI infrastructure.
The company launched its new Intel Xeon 6+ processors, designed for cloud computing, telecom networks and emerging AI applications that require large-scale coordination between systems rather than just raw computing power.
