Dish TV FY26 loss widens as subscription revenue shrinks amid OTT pressure

Dish TV India reported a wider consolidated loss for FY26 as subscription revenue fell sharply amid intensifying competition from OTT platforms, changing viewing habits and inflationary pressures.

The direct-to-home (DTH) operator reported a consolidated net loss of ₹807 crore in FY26, compared with a loss of ₹488 crore in FY25, while operating revenue declined 25.8% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,163 crore from ₹1,568 crore.

Subscription revenue, its key earnings stream, dropped 35.6% YoY to ₹886 crore from ₹1,377 crore a year earlier.
