India’s prepaid-postpaid ARPUs enter convergence phase, reversal unlikely: Analysts
NEW DELHI: India’s telecom prepaid and postpaid segments have entered an average revenue per user (ARPU) convergence phase – following five years of historic gaps – enabled by operators’ sustained efforts to repair tariffs. Still, any sharp reversal is unlikely, said analysts.
“A sharp reversal is unlikely as the shift has already happened. Prepaid ARPUs are now structurally higher and well supported by disciplined pricing and data-led plans,” Purushothaman KG (partner and head of technology transformation and artificial intelligence), KPMG in India, told ETTelecom.
