Reliance Jio says 5G network slicing-based service legitimate
NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio said that network slicing-backed service deployments are a “lawful exercise” for fifth-generation (5G) network capabilities, and the regulatory framework allows such offerings.
In a letter to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) dated May 25, 2026, Mumbai-based Reliance Jio said, “Network slicing-based service deployments are a legitimate exercise of 5G network capabilities, subject to compliance with the applicable provisions of the Unified License and TRAI regulations.”
