HMD first to bring DoT’s Sanchar Saathi app to smartphone, says installation fully optional
NEW DELHI: Human Mobile Devices (HMD) on Thursday became the first smartphone manufacturer to offer consumers the option to install the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) Sanchar Saathi application in its Vibe 2 5G handset, in a bid to boost privacy and safety.
“We are the first ones to bring Sanchar Saathi at the time of the boot itself in the HMD Vibe 2 smartphone. Through a convenient selection menu, users can choose if they want to install this application or not,” Ravi Kunwar, vice-president (VP) & CEO, HMD India and APAC, told ETTelecom exclusively
