Vodafone Idea junks report about Vodafone Group proposal

Mumbai: Vodafone Idea said it has not received any communication from the Vodafone Group Plc regarding a reported proposal to transfer a portion of its shareholding to the company as treasury stock. The media report published Monday had triggered a sharp rally in its shares, but the company declined it as speculation.

“We have not received any communication from the Vodafone Group in relation to the above reported matter,” the company said in its filing on Monday.
