Nintendo to hike Switch 2 price, warns on profits

Nintendo said Friday it will hike the price of its Switch 2 gaming console as component costs soar, warning that net profit would fall 27 percent this year.

The Japanese gaming giant said the price would rise in Japan, the United States and Europe this year, as it reported a 52-percent increase in net income for the fiscal year that ended on March 31.

Nintendo on ‌Friday forecast ⁠operating ⁠profit ​would rise 2.7% ​to ​370 ⁠billion ‌yen ($2.36 ​billion) ​in ⁠the financial ​year ending ​March ‌2027. ($1 = ​156.8200 ​yen)
