Department of Posts invests ₹5,000 crore in modern IT infra for India Post: Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: The Department of Posts has invested ₹5,000 crore in deploying modern IT infrastructure for India Post, to strengthen its technology backbone and improve service delivery, said Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani on Thursday.

“We invested ₹5,000 crore in modern IT infrastructure, laying the digital backbone for a 21st-century postal network,” Pemmasani said.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the renovated Nehru Place Post Office in the national capital. Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were also present.
