iOS 27 may allow users to create custom digital passes in Apple Wallet: Why it matters

Apple may be looking to solve a common frustration for iPhone users. The company is said to be preparing to give users the power to create their own digital passes with the “Create a Pass” feature, set to debut with the upcoming iOS 27 software update. This feature will allow users to build and customise digital tickets, memberships and gift cards directly within the Wallet app.

According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Wallet app acts as a digital container for credit cards, digital keys, and passes provided by third-party apps.
