Geneva: The United Nations’ telecoms agency decided on Friday to condemn, monitor and report on the impact of Iranian attacks on telecommunications infrastructure in four targeted countries in the Middle East.
Since the war in the region began on February 28 with a barrage of US and Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran has retaliated, attacking infrastructure across the Gulf.
The six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, plus Jordan, demanded action at the UN’s International Telecommunication Union agency.
