Limited availability of critical electronic components a challenge for localisation: BenQ’s Rajeev Singh

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese display maker BenQ said that India’s localisation ambition remains challenging due to the limited availability of crucial components within the domestic ecosystem, and further policy support would strengthen indigenous manufacturing.

“A key challenge in localisation remains the limited availability of critical components, such as display modules, within the domestic ecosystem. As a result, a significant portion of manufacturing continues to rely on imports,” Rajeev Singh, MD, BenQ India & South Asia, told ETTelecom.
