Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says Copilot reaches 20 million paid users; Accenture, Mercedes among key adopters

Satya Nadella has revealed that Microsoft’s Copilot AI tool is seeing strong growth in usage and adoption, despite ongoing perceptions that it is not widely used. Speaking during the company’s quarterly earnings call, Nadella said that Microsoft 365 Copilot now has 20 million paid enterprise seats. Nadella said the company has seen a rise in large-scale deployments. The number of companies using more than 50,000 Copilot seats has quadrupled. He further revealed that firms such as Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes-Benz and Roche each have more than 90,000 seats. Nadella also highlighted a recent deal with Accenture for over 740,000 seats, calling it “our largest Copilot win to date.”
