IBDF backs MIB TV rating guidelines, seeks extended timelines for rollout

The Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF), while broadly backing the reforms, has sought more time to implement key provisions of the television rating guidelines issued by the ministry of information and broadcasting (MIB) on March 27, people aware of the discussions told ET.

The industry body has raised concerns over timelines for board restructuring, expansion of audience measurement panels, cross-screen measurement and establishment surveys, as well as the role of distribution platforms and large technology firms in audience measurement.
