Tesla registers its AI-driven voice assistant in Shanghai

Tesla has registered its voice assistant feature, which is powered by a generative artificial intelligence (AI) model, with China’s cyberspace administrator in Shanghai, the city’s ‌local ⁠authority said ⁠on Tuesday.

Tesla’s voice assist is among ​a total of 158 AI-powered functionalities and ​applications that have completed the filing in Shanghai, a process which ​is part of the ⁠Chinese government’s ‌efforts to regulate ​the rapidly ​developing technology.
