Nasscom reaffirms zero tolerance on harassment amid TCS BPO case

Bengaluru: The software industry treats any incident of misconduct or harassment with the highest degree of seriousness, industry body Nasscom said Tuesday. The statement came in response to allegations of sexual harassment cases at the Nashik BPO unit of IT market leader Tata Consultancy Services.

“The Indian technology industry is built on a foundation of respect, dignity and safety. The industry operates under strict governance frameworks and unequivocal standards for employee safety and workplace conduct,” Nasscom said. “Any instance of misconduct or harassment is treated with the highest degree of seriousness, with organisations taking swift, decisive, and appropriate disciplinary action in line with established processes.”
