India–AI Impact Summit 2026

For the first time, the world’s premier AI summit came to the Global South. The India–AI Impact Summit 2026, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit, took place on February 19–20 in New Delhi – a moment that signals not just a change of venue, but a decisive shift in who gets to shape the future of artificial intelligence.

Building on the momentum of landmark forums – the UK AI Safety Summit, the AI Seoul Summit, the France AI Action Summit and the Global AI Summit on Africa – this high-level convening marks a critical inflection point. It strengthens existing multilateral initiatives while advancing new priorities and cooperative frameworks, moving deliberately from high-level political statements to demonstrable, tangible progress in global AI cooperation.
