Search is evolving. For the past two decades, search engine optimisation (SEO) has served as the foundation of online presence. The objective was to get content to rank well on Google, attract clicks and increase traffic.
A new realm is now developing alongside it. Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is about being the source that AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews draw from when they answer a question. Not a link in a list, the answer itself.
