Vodafone Idea modernises transport network with Ciena WL6e solution, eyes new biz opportunities
NEW DELHI: The US-based optical network gear maker Ciena said India’s Vodafone Idea (Vi) is modernising its transport network with the Ciena WaveLogic 6 Extreme (WL6e) coherent solution, running on the 6500 platform, which will allow it to tap into new business opportunities.
The network upgrade will strengthen Vi’s ability to support growing bandwidth demands in India and pursue new business opportunities with hyperscalers, neoscalers, and enterprise customers, the companies said in a joint statement on Tuesday.
