Pakistan sells 480 MHz of 5G spectrum for $507 million, government official says

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan sold a total of 480 MHz of 5G telecom spectrum for $507 million on Tuesday, ‌the country’s ⁠telecom ⁠authority chairman announced after a live auction.

The winners include Jazz, Ufone and Zong, said Hafeez-ur-Rehman, who is also a ⁠retired Pakistani ‌military general.

“Out of a total of ⁠595 MHz, God be praised, 480 MHz was sold today,” he said in comments broadcast live on state-run PTV.
