    Get it Strait, Hormuz to create ripples for undersea cables too

    Mumbai: The Strait of Hormuz is not just a chokepoint for global tanker traffic, but also major undersea cables facing increased risk from the simmering West Asia conflict.

    The passage controls about a third of India’s westward internet traffic, which can’t be rerouted due to supply constraints on alternate routes, experts said.
