Claude outage: Anthropic chatbot down, company confirms tech issue

Anthropic’s Claude AI assistant is facing an outage, disrupting access for users across the web and API channels. The issue began on Monday, with users reporting failed chats, long response times and error messages while trying to access Claude services.

Anthropic confirmed the issue on its status page, flagging “elevated errors” and a partial outage impacting both consumer-facing interfaces and developer APIs.

The company said its engineering teams were investigating the root cause and working to restore normal service. It is not yet certain what triggered the outage or when full functionality will return.
