Bharti Airtel shares drop over 3% after company plans ₹20,000 crore NBFC investment

Shares of Bharti Airtel dropped 3% after the telecom giant’s announcement of plans to significantly expand its footprint in the financial services sector, with an investment of ₹20,000 crore.
The company announced that it will invest ₹20,000 crore over the next few years into its wholly owned non-banking financial company (NBFC) subsidiary, Airtel Money Limited, with the aim of building a large-scale digital lending platform and widening access to formal credit across India.
