HFCL joins IIT Delhi-led consortium to develop hollow-core fiber indigenously

NEW DELHI: Homegrown HFCL has joined a Department of Telecommunications (DoT)-funded consortium-driven research project, which is developing hollow-core fiber (HCF) technology for the next-generation networks, including 6G.

The project is led by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). As a consortium partner, HFCL will contribute industry expertise, manufacturing perspective, and application insights to support the translational aspects of the research.
