NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh is emerging as the centre of India’s semiconductor ecosystem, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
“HCL and Foxconn’s new factory, as a technology powerhouse, will empower Uttar Pradesh’s new identity,” PM Modi said, addressing a gathering at the foundation-laying ceremony of India Chip Private Limited’s outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility for display driver chips in YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) in Jewar, Greater Noida.
