Reliance, Jio to invest ₹10 lakh crore in AI data centres, edge computing: Mukesh Ambani

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the conglomerate, along with Jio, will invest ₹10 lakh crore over the next seven years in setting up artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and edge computing, underscoring the conglomerate’s ambition of democratising access to the technology in India.

“I would like to announce that Jio will play an even bigger role in India’s AI transformation,” Ambani said on Thursday at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026.
