India emerging as manufacturing hub, AI to boost automation, says Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon
NEW DELHI: American chipmaker Qualcomm said on Friday that India is emerging as a global manufacturing hub, adding that artificial intelligence (AI) would accelerate automation and other applications on a large scale across verticals.
“There is a process of jumping into large-scale industrialisation. India is becoming a global manufacturing hub as well, and with AI, you go from the very beginning with smart manufacturing automation to incredible change that is happening in this sector,” Cristiano Amon, president & CEO, Qualcomm Technologies, said at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026.
