Swiss telco Sunrise misses core profit expectations in fourth-quarter

Sunrise Communications, Switzerland’s second-largest telecoms operator, reported a 1.4% fall in its fourth-quarter core profit on Wednesday, missing market expectations, citing changed seasonality in operating costs ‌compared to ⁠2024.

Its ⁠fourth-quarter lease-adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDAaL) were 242.7 million Swiss francs ($315.0 million), versus 249.6 million francs in the same period in 2024. Analysts polled by Sunrise had predicted an EBITDAaL of 245 million francs on average.
