India to emerge as manufacturing hub for 6G radio equipment: Nokia
India will emerge as a major global manufacturing hub for 6G radio equipment, as the global telecom firm Nokia continues to strengthen its presence in the country, according to a senior official.
“Nokia’s largest facility globally in Chennai has been operational for over 17 years. We pioneered 3G, 4G and 5G equipment manufacturing in India and currently export over 40 per cent of the production to the global markets. Looking ahead, India will emerge as a major global manufacturing hub for 6G radio equipment, leveraging AI to further elevate our quality and efficiency, as we continue to build a strong and growing local ecosystem,” Srinivas C, Head of Manufacturing at Nokia India told ETManufacturing in an interview on Tuesday.
