India AI Impact Summit 2026: Yotta, Adani firm bat for digital infra, local AI model
NEW DELHI: The Centre should categorise digital infrastructure, considering its significance for artificial intelligence (AI)-backed applications, according to industry executives. They added that the country also needs to develop an “Indianised” language model, which will represent and serve the diverse citizen groups.
“I think India should declare digital infrastructure as the most essential commodity, just like India has been building the physical infrastructure in terms of highways and railways and airports,” Sunil Gupta, CEO of Yotta Data Services, said during a panel discussion during the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026.
