India a trusted ally in chip & electronics chain: Ashwini Vaishnaw
India has emerged as a “trusted partner” in the global semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, something that has come through in the free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations with the EU and the US, union minister for information technology and electronics Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Saturday.
“Very soon, electronics will be among the top two exported goods out of India,” he said at the 10th edition of the ET Now Global Business Summit. “That change has actually happened and the world is taking note of it. India has now emerged as a trusted partner, which believes in IP, which respects IP, which believes in solving problems through negotiations, discussions and multilateral institutions, and that is what is most important.”
