Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr Priscilla Chan, are reportedly purchasing a waterfront mansion on Indian Creek Island near Miami. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, this will position the couple as neighbours to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on the exclusive 300-acre island. Indian Creek Island is an artificial island with 41 lots and approximately 84 residents, with home prices starting at about $60 million. This is reportedly one of the most sought-after sections of one of America’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.

Indian Creek Island operates as an independent municipality with its own government and a private police force that patrols by air, water, and land.
