RailTel secures ₹455 crore ‘Kavach’ order for 1,067 km Jabalpur Division route
New Delhi: The RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has secured an order from the Railway ministry to install ‘Kavach’, an indigenous automatic train protection system, for ₹455 crore on a 1,067 km route of the Jabalpur Division.
‘Kavach’ helps prevent train collisions, over-speeding, and signal passing at danger (SPAD or signal overshoot) significantly to enhance passenger safety and operational reliability.
