Low-cost video conferencing entrant targets India with bootstrapped model
The Indian video conferencing market, which surged during the pandemic-induced lockdowns before settling into a steady hybrid-era workplace demand, is seeing a new entrant with competitive pricing and a bootstrapped business model, raising questions about whether enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) can compete without venture capital backing.
Des Moines-based AONMeetings launched in India yesterday with per-user monthly pricing starting at Rs179, approximately 83% lower than other comparable plans. The company’s India entry comes after five years of profitable operations serving over 1,000 global customers without raising venture capital.
