Amazon has executed a massive round of corporate job cuts last week – second biggest layoff in less than six months – eliminating 16,000 roles. Even as the company’s offices reel from the loss of staff, leadership is urging remaining employees to “take care of each other” and more importantly, lean heavily on technology to simplify work.

In an internal email obtained by Business Insider, Greg Pearson, vice president of global sales at Amazon Web Services (AWS), addressed the remaining workforce to drive value with the use of technology.
