Union Budget 2026-27: India to offer tax holiday until 2047 to foreign cloud providers, says Nirmala Sitharaman

NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday said the Centre would offer a tax holiday until 2047 to foreign companies providing cloud services globally via data centres situated in India.

However, to be eligible, foreign entities have to provide services to Indian customers exclusively through Indian resellers.

“I propose providing a tax holiday until 2047 to any foreign company that offers cloud services to global customers using data centres located in India. However, such companies will be required to provide services to Indian customers through an Indian reseller entity,” she said, while presenting the Union Budget 2026-27.
