India attracts $70 billion investment in AI infra, AI Mission 2.0 in 5-6 months: Ashwini Vaishnaw

NEW DELHI: Bouyed by $70 billion investments in artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure, and the success of the AI Mission 1.0, the Centre is considering coming up with the second edition of the ambitious programme which seeks to democratise access to the technology nationwide, said Union Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday.

“You should be hearing about more additions to the common compute stack, and as we conclude the first part of the AI Mission, in another five to six months, we should be going for the AI Mission 2.0,” Vaishnaw said during a press conference here.
