Amazon has started notifying the employees about its latest round of corporate layoffs. As part of the fresh round of layoffs around 16000 roles have been eliminated across the country. The job cuts have impacted staff in the US, UK and India. The affected employees have received emails from Beth Galetti, senior vice president of people experience and technology informing them that their positions were being cut following a ‘thorough review of our organization, our priorities, and what we need to focus on going forward.’ The email shared with Business Insider by affected employees starts with the line: ‘I have some important, but difficult, news to share with you.’ It is also confirmed that the affected employees will get full and benefits for 90 days during a non-working transition period.
