Google plans to replace ChromeOS with new Aluminium OS, alleged images surface online

Google is reportedly planning to replace ChromeOS, the operating system used on Chromebooks, with a new platform called Aluminium OS. The new operating system was first reported by 9to5Google which spotted official images of Aluminium OS inside a Google bug report. As per the publication, the images showed parts of the interface, including the status bar and split-screen view on an HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5-inch Chromebook. Google later removed the images from the report, but not before a short video clip was shared publicly.
