FTA to boost India’s electronics exports to EU to $100 bn by 2040: Industry

NEW DELHI: The conclusion of the India-European Union (EU) free-trade agreement (FTA) paves the way for India to export electronics goods worth $100 billion by 2040, according to the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA).

“In electronics, the FTA creates a credible pathway to build exports of nearly $50 billion by 2031 across electronic goods, including mobile phones, consumer electronics, and IT hardware, with the potential to exceed $100 billion in the following decade,” said Pankaj Mohindroo, chairman, ICEA.
