DPDP Act to enhance confidence, position India as trusted digital economy: S Krishnan

NEW DELHI: The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act will enhance confidence among consumers in digital services and strengthen India’s position as a trusted digital economy, a top government official said on Saturday.

“DPDP Act will enhance citizen confidence in digital services, enable responsible data-driven innovation, and strengthen India’s position as a trusted digital economy,” S Krishnan, secretary, Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), said.

Krishnan was addressing the Digital Autonomy 2026 conference, organised by DataSafeGuard here.
