Deepinder Goyal reveals why he stepped down as Eternal CEO: ‘I have the bandwidth to continue, but…’

After spending nearly two decades building what has become one of India’s most famous quick commerce companies, Deepinder Goyal has decided to step down as Group Chief Executive Officer of Eternal. The announcement, shared on his X handle and later confirmed through a company filing, revealed that Goyal will exit the CEO role effective February 1. He will continue on the board as Vice Chairman.

For many, Goyal has been synonymous with the brand itself, a founder who not only shaped the company’s identity but also played a defining role in India’s quick commerce evolution.
