MeitY-backed consortium launches open-source platform for private 5G networks

Indian Open Source for Mobile Communication Networks (IOS-MCN) Consortium on Monday announced the launch of a software platform that would allow organisations to build and run their own Private 5G networks.

The platform, named Agartala 0.4.0, is aimed at factories, campuses, research institutions, startups and critical infrastructure operators seeking faster, more reliable and secure connectivity than Wi-Fi or public mobile networks.
